HRwise brings decades of experience in human resource management, organisational design and business management to your company challenges.

We have extensive experience in a wide variety of industries including: oil and gas, mining, steel, transport and logistics, building and construction, IT, agricultural exporting, FMCG, superannuation, government departments, and finance.

Having held senior positions and gained experience in both site-based and corporate environments with local and global organisations, our people bring to the table not just theory but practical expertise too. No matter what your industry, corporate culture, size, or situation, chances are we’ve seen similar problems and helped others work through them.

We start by talking with you about your situation and your needs. Then we draw upon our portfolio of services to customise the right solution for you. If your project is expansive and requires resources, we have them available. If the project requires a solution better provided elsewhere, we will tell you and refer you. We only take on work where we know we can add significant value. No matter what your industry, corporate culture, size, or situation, chances are we’ve seen similar problems and helped others work through them.

One of the principles will act as your service coordinator. All of the principles, however, will be working behind the scenes on your behalf, bringing their particular expertise to your situation.

Ben Geoghegan (WA)

BA (Industrial Relations and Political Science)

Ben has worked in senior HR and management roles both in Australia and internationally.  His international experience includes the role of HR Manager for UK & Ireland for a global logistics company.

Ben has over 14 years experience in HR management and his areas of expertise include employee attraction & retention, business turnaround, labour law compliance and industrial relations strategies, organization learning and development, performance analysis and policy development.

A frequent speaker at conferences and seminars, Ben recently presented a paper at an industry forum on managing the skills shortage.

Away from work, Ben is a keen sports fan (and a lesser player) who keeps a close eye on a variety of sports both in Australia and overseas.

Robert Watson (NSW)

BE (degree)

Robert has worked in senior HR and management roles for nearly 35 years.

Robert’s areas of expertise include organisational design, mentoring, leadership development & training, recruitment, HR Planning, and process improvement & benchmarking

Katherine Blacklock (WA)

BSc, Grad. Dip. HRM

Katherine has over 15 years experience in human resources management, including the management of HR internationally, as Region HR Manager - Asia Pacific for a US-based oil and gas service company.

Activities in which Katherine specialises include: international HR management; policy, procedure and HR systems development, employment contracts/AWAs; attraction and retention programs; change management, and performance management systems.

When not helping clients, Katherine maintains an active family life with her husband and two children - energy for which possibly comes from her past life as a national gymnast.
